The weather in New York has been a bit off its rocker lately – with this awkward in between stages, I decided to put on this trench that I had yet to wear. I had made a visit to Forever 21 months ago during one of my lunch breaks and purchased it impulsively when it was still 90 degrees and humid. Good thing it didn’t break the bank, but has proven to come in handy. I threw it over a crisp collared shirt and scalloped shorts, and even though I’m always hesitant when it comes to pairing heels and shorts (due to a complex I have about my legs), I stepped out of my comfort zone by adding these wedges I purchased at a sale last year.
I love the details, especially the scarf! Very cool outfit for transitioning into fall. :)

I’m a pretty hardcore nail slut and I’m really loving the navy/teal polish! It really accentuates the colors and makes everything pop. Fierce outfit as well!
I wish I had the lifestyle to wear adorable outfits like this! Not much use for it out on the farm where the only ones who’d see it are chickens, dogs, cats, goats, and sheep :)

I love the coat, AND the scarf, and the brown “wedge” boots. I’m no fashionista, but clearly, it all goes well together and works for you. I also admire your ability to wear heels; I tried once in the eleventh grade (fail) and haven’t since.
I found an amazing pair of tall, brown, “combat” boots at Journeys last month. They were sixty dollars.. the brand name is “Bullboxer.” Coolest pair ever.
