The Spicy Stiletto

Remnants of disco ball ensembles still lingering from a few nights ago, along with traces of bubbly probably still course through my veins.  And though this photo was taken in  2012 — when things like Gangnam Style and Honey BooBoo eclipsed events from years past — during one of my last days in California, a post warranted regardless.

All-white separates may just be my favorite things at the moment, especially when they come in the form of denim and/or leather.  Even though, the same questions always seem cross my mind when clad in a variation of whites — Will pomegranate juice permanently stain?  And how filthy is the 4/5 train, really?   Yes, absolutely trivial I know but matters that cross the mind nonetheless.  Probably one of the more overdone combinations of the season.  White on white.  But details on gauzy knits, a swipe of bright lip, and speckled blue pumps always make things all the more exciting.  And thought these pair of pants are the simplest in their form.  Denim, white, skinny.  They’re a perfect blank canvas and easily a pair that will last me straight into spring, and most likely into the following year.
