    twenty twelve photo diary

Hope you all enjoyed your holiday and caught a break from the usual hustle and bustle!  One of things that I look forward to most during this time is reflecting back on the past year and on things that helped me become the best possible version of myself.  Being able to look back  and reevaluate things without regrets allows me to move forward to plan for future milestones, whether they may be for this blog or other facets of my personal life.  And as I reflect back on this year, I’m so grateful for what this blog has accomplished.  It has  served as an outlet and has truly freed my mind creatively and opened many doors, especially in 2012.  And when I look back at all the people to thank, you (my readers) are at the top of my list.  Whether you’re here daily or once-a-week, a subscriber or avid Facebook or Instagram ‘liker’, a frequent commenter, fellow creative type, or all of the above, I couldn’t have made it here without your support.  So thank you, from the bottom of my heart and for continuing to follow this journey through my eyes.  Happy New Year!

Here are just a few posted/not-yet-posted photos from my year.

Beginning of the year spent traveling through Asia after February NYFW up until April — productive and relaxing, never thought that was possible.

    NYFW photo diary

Running on low at the moment, but life wouldn’t be complete otherwise.  The past week of fashion mayhem in New York was exhilarating and I’m so glad I’m able to share the scoop from an outside perspective with all of you.  Here are a few photos of NYFW from my vantage point, if you have any questions definitely ping me on Formspring or Tweet me and I’ll answer right away or as soon as I finish my tapas and wine!

    until next time…

The final days of this two-month excursion were bittersweet – though I loved (almost) everything about my travels, I am extremely ecstatic to be making my way back to the states. I tried my best to relish every last minute I had here in Hong Kong without feeling completely overwhelmed. And though there are striking similarities between here and New York, the energy is different and there are some things I will miss. Until next time, here are a few photos from the past week.

p.s. a HUGE shout to my two beautiful sisters Angela and Narisa for taking photos of me when I needed them.

Orchard Road – the best shopping in Asia that I’ve experienced so far

custom bags thanks to FSO2012 x topshop

nasi goreng – a traditional Singaporian dish, basically special fried rice

they say the view from the Marina Bay Sands is beautiful, but the view below isn’t bad either

pop-up Miss Selfridge candy stores where I got my sweet fix during the FSO event

lush trees that shade nearly every road

(extra spicy) mee pok – a type of Singaporian noodles

My weekend getaway came and went as I tried my best to savor every minute of the trip. It’s always good seeing familiar faces especially when traveling abroad – from my friend Nikki who shares the same passion for shopping and fashion, to my cousin David who knew every local (nightlife) spot – it was great experiencing the city through the eyes of a “local”.

I’m back to the usual grind here in HK before I depart for New Zealand next week.  Though I’m glad to have more structure to my days, I miss having a good lie-in and eating when I “feel like it”.  I’m sure you all agree that holidays pass far too quickly, and sometimes one week just isn’t enough time to soak in all the sights and sounds.
